Security update for WMP

Is Windows Media Player XP the same as Windows Media
Player 9.0. Need to know if new security update for WMP
XP applies to WMP 9.0.

If you have Media Player Series 9 installed this security update does not
appear in the available updates.
It is only applicable for Media Player 7.1 and the original shipped Media
Player in Windows XP.
