View Full Version : Network shares C:\ as $ share

The C$ is an administrative share, Ie. for administering
that drive, adding shares, setting security to C: over
the network. As far as I can see, only administrators
can access this drive over the network and only when they
reference it directly. "\\computername\c$" should be the
only way to get to it. The same applies to "ADMIN$"
which points to your windows directory

You can't remove it without disabling file and print
sharing and/or disabling the "server" service
