Ok, I know this is a longshot but is anyone out there
using Windows XP on the Compaq network system of
Pathworks? Pathworks is running on an OpenVMS platform?
Pathworks is being used for file and print sharing.
The issue that I am running into is that Domain Users (On
WinNT 4.0 PDC) There are no local users on the PCs users
will be pulled down from the domain and have NO rights on
the local box.
Now users can not map to a printer if it on a Pathworks
Que (unless they are an admin user on PC) But they can
map and install to a printer if it is being shared out by
another Windows PC. So Windows to Windows ok, Windows to
Pathworks not ok.
Why is it able to communicate from Windows to Windows
what is it using to commicating to do this? Active
directory?
