How can you disable the insert key? Is there a driver
available to disable it? or is there a setting in the
regestry that will disable it? or something else?

Venting:
In the last 10+ years that I've been using a keyboard
I've never had a practical use for the "insert" key. I
fact it is the only annoying key on the whole keyboard.
Its next to the delete and backspase buttons which makes
it a good accidental target for over writing text in any
word editor.

Jason, You could try this shareware program:
http://members.execulink.com/~pjones/toggler/index.htm

or if you are really angry and do not wish to pay money for a program to
de-function your keyboard, you could always take a screw driver and
physically (& carefully) pry the key off your keyboard. (They do come off)
That should keep you from tapping it accidently! (You might want to save
the key & spring in case you want to put it back on someday!)
