Hi:

When I right click on a link in my browser window and
select "open in new window", the new browser window that
opens is not maximized. How do I get the new window to
open maximized?

set it to the size you want it to be, and then close it while you are
pressing the SHIFT key.
Next time Explorer will open at that size.

For the ones reading technical replies, I would kindly request them to give
me their feedback with another post (in the same thread of course), so I
will know if my advice helped them or not.

Its not the shift key. Try using the Ctrl key.

Thanks for the reply Knight.

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
Any other ideas?

I have the solution.

Ok, go into your internet explorer folder in {drive letter}:\program
files\internet explorer. Right click on iexplore.exe, and click send to
desktop (create shortcut). Now go to your desktop and right click on the
new shortcut and select properties. Go to the very end of the target line
and create 1 space after the quotation mark, and then type -k. (it should
look like this: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer" -k). Now execute the
link, and you'll get the full screen version of internet explorer. Close
this (alt-f4 works) and get rid of the shortcut. From now on when you open
in a new window it will be almost completley maximized.

Hope this helps,
George W.

Giz this is the way it works it cannot be wrong something you are doing is
wrong...!

Try it again.... make your IE big but NOT maximized, then press and hold in
the CTRL key then click the X (close) button on the window, THEN RELEASE the
ctrl key.

The next time you open Iexplorer it will be at the size you had beefore you
closed it.

Hi,
When the new windows opens, resize it with the mouse double arrows so that
it fits your screen (do not maximize it using the maximize button on the top
right). Now close the window using File>Close. Next time you open a window
from a hyperlink/right click, it will be the same size that you left it in
last time.
