I've forgotten how to set a default user logon in XP
Professional. I had it set to logon straight into me as
I am now the only user (other than administrator) and
somehow I did something so now I can't (it requires a
logon). Anybody help?

Hi, Grant ...

The easiest way is to use TweakUI for XP from 'Power Toys' ... there's =
an autologon option in the TweakUI menu. Download it from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

You also might look at MS KB article # 315231 "How to Enable Automatic =
Logon in Windows".

A curious 'feature' in autologon is that there has to be a password set =
up for it to work properly ... I quote from the above KB article; "If no =
DefaultPassword string is specified, Windows automatically changes the =
value of the AutoAdminLogon key from 1 (true) to 0 (false) to disable =
the AutoAdminLogon feature."
