Dual Boot

Here's a fun one for a Friday afternoon!

I need to dual boot with Win2K and XP (a very very long
story - needless to say "they" didn't believe XP and 2k
are essentially the same machine, still...). When
booting after the build I get a log on prompt, and then
as it starts to load the personal settings I get the
message "Windows Product Activation is having difficulty"

At that point the PC logs itself off again and then sits
there asking for someone to log on?!

Anyone got any ideas????????
