RUNTIME ERROR

I have administrator account and guest user account. All
been fine until yesterday when I got this error message.
MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
Runtime error
This application has requested the runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications
support team for more info.
I cannot access Internet Explorer, My computer, control
panel, and various other applications. Nothing knew has
been added to the computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
