I am having troubles with XP, programmes dissapearing,

the whole XP edition so i can reload and start from
scratch?

Do you mean you want to completely erase all files on your computer - losing
everything youhave not burned to CD or written off to floppy disk or to some
network location - and then reinstall from "scratch" and start over as if
this computer you are on is brand new with nothing - not even an operating
system like Windows XP - on it?

Good luck!
(You WILL lose everything you do not copy elsewhere.. Your documents,
files, etc..)

Can you boot from your CDrom drive in your BIOS. If so boot from your drive
and follow the yellow brick road. That is unless you have a crappy restore
disk like the Sony machine.
