Administrator disabled

When attempting to logon as Administrator, I am receiving
the message, "Your account has been disabled. Please see
your System Administrator." No one else uses this
computer, and I never attempted to "disable" users. I
loged on as Guest, but my critical software will not
function.

Computer Management shows a large red "X" on the
Administrator account. I denies me access when I Right-
Click on Administrator.

Help states that the the built-in Administrator account
cannot be disabled?!?
