Just got this new computer the other day. Everything is
ok (somewhat...still need to wear this thing in).
Anyway, when I try to go into standby mode, I get an
error that says,

"The device driver for
the 'Stream\ATIxbar\5&2be2b936&0&2' device is preventing
the machine from entering standby. Please close all
applications and try again. If the problem persists, you
may need to update this driver."

Now I do have any ATI video card (9200SE) but I spoke
with ATI already, they didn't tell me anything useful
what so ever. If anyone knows a fix for this, so I can
go into standby mode, I would appreciate it much.

Yup, graphics cards are a common cause of this type of issue. Have you
checked the ATI site to be sure you have the latest drivers. If you have
the latest drivers, ATI has a module that loads in the notification area
near the time. I believe you can right click that and in its options keep
it from loading at startup. It's not necessary anyway as you can get to
most of its functions through control panel. Try shutting that off, reboot
and see if you still have the issue. If there is anything else of ATI
loading on startup that perhaps appears in the taskbar, turn that off as
well.
