The System Volume Information folder contains all of the Restore Points
created by the System Restore utility.

When the virus that AVG detected and cleaned was on the system, it was saved
as part of a Restore Point by the System Restore utility. To get rid of this
virus file, you need to delete the existing restore points. Do the
following.

Open the Control Panel.
Double-click on System.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check "Turn off System Restore on all drives".
Hit Apply.
The restore points contained in the System Volume Information folders on all
drives should now be gone.

Go back and re-enable the System Restore utility for all drives. Open the
System Restore utility in System Tools and create another restore point.
