I have an 80gig drive with xp on the first partition 40g and linux on
the other partition...I would like to remove linux and put the complete
drive onto xp...Is it possible to do this without a reinstall of xp
without resorting to buying any other disk partitioning software...??
(And if so how )

You can't resize the current system partition without using a third party
tool, such as Partition Magic.
