How do I find out if my windows XP Professional is 32 or
64 bit version? I need to install patches due to the
recent viruses, but I don't know if i have to install 32
or 64 bit. Pls help. Thanks in advance.

More than likely, you have 32-bit. The 64-bit version runs only on
computers with high-end Itanium processors. If you want to check further,
open Windows Explorer, right-click on MyComputer, then select Properties.
If you have 64-bit Windows, it will say so explicitly; if you have 32-bit,
Properties will report only the Windows version, build, etc., with no
explicit mention of 32-bit.
