Hi
Recently while on MSN messenger,I came across some odd
typographical symbols which I can't seem to produce on my
computer. One of these is an upside down question mark. A
friend told me if I had Word Perfect I could do this
simply, but I don't. Can I do this with what I have which
is Windows XP and Microsoft Word, Word Pad etc.

I don't have much computer savvy, so any detailed help
you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
Melanie

All you need is some way to enter a character, and you can insert it. If you
just want a listing, go to start - all programs - accessories - system
tools - character map. Select the font that you are using for Messenger, and
you'll see a complete display of available characters in that font. Just
copy them and paste them into Messenger, or whatever other application you
want them in. (Not all applications support all characters, however - but
these days most are Unicode aware.)
