JAVA...??

I am trying to enable java..? I restored my computer and
now ill go in to a chat room in yahoo groups and it wont
let me in because of my JAVA is not enabled...? how do i
ENABLE it..I went to "internet properties" then
to "security tab" then to "custom level".tryed to
activated it that way but ill get the same message every
time ill go to that a chat room.. plz help lol thkz..!!

Maybe I was just not configuring it right or something,
but I found that microsoft's java blends in more with the
os and ie than sun java. in fact, i found it a pain in
the butt, so i don't know if people that are
uncomfortable with their pc in the first place should
download sun java.
