How can I get only the icons on the desktop to open with a single click?
Many thanks

Hi Tom,
That feature is controlled by Windows Explorer. Change Explorer to single
click thru the tools menu.

Tom,
In any explorer window, click on tools>folder options. On the general tab,
select the radio button "Single click to open an item...".

Yeh that changes all icons in explorer as well though. I found this happened
when sampling a few different themes which seemed to invoke this so it
mightve been a glitch (?) grrr
But it enabled me to open desktop items like the taskbar, but with other
stuff dbl click which I prefer to keep for main folders . Anyway really
infuriating cause I cant find which theme it was again thats why I wanted to
know.
