256 colour display

[shaggy]

computer works fine but the display looks like its set to
256 colour display . when i go in to display properties
it is set to 32 bit colour . but all pictures and display
look like they are in 256 colour mode . tried loading new
graphics card drivers . and restoring to a earlier time
with no avail any help would be very very appreciated .

Are your motherboards AGP drivers installed?
