View Full Version : Can't move swapfile.

Hi guys,
I'm frenetically trying to move the virtual memory from a slow
80 GB (C:) disk where the XP home edition is installed to a
faster 3.5 GB disk, but the system won't accept it.
When I have tried to change the setting in the virtual
memory and finally clicked OK I just receive the blue death
screen with a message telling that it's fault # %¤&½§-Ç륿
and that memory dumping has started.
I've even tried to move the swap file to a 2GB partition on
the C: disk but with no result, it's still in the root of the disk.
I'm logging in with administrators privileges.
Anyone out there who has any idea why it can't be done?
Thanx
Thorfinn

You have to delete the PF first, so set it to no page file then restart then
set up pagefile.
