I want to know how to partition the Hard Drive so that I
have multiple drives not just the C Drive. I want to
clean up my system and allocate like games to a seperate
drive and downloaded files to one drive etc. Please let
me know how.

Hi Michael ,
Create startup disk from Window or from OEM , then put in the floppy
disk when you restart.
if your BIOS start up first on floppy disk , it prompt to A :\
type fdisk for partitiion your HD. There are many step by step how
to format and partition HD in www.google.com.
Try to search it.
Thanks.

I used an old version of Partition Magic on Windows 98. (Free off a
cover disk, but it won't do XP.) I found it very good.
FDisk will wipe out everything on your hard drive. And you can't use
it without a proper Windows installation disk. If you are relying on
your computer manufacturer's disk there is every chance it will delete
any partiton you put on with FDisk (that was my experience in W98 with
a Packard-Bell disk).
Partiton Magic is good, but not cheap. A lot to spend for a one-off
operation. You might be able to sell it though once you have used it
(to me maybe?)
I searched Google on this topic, but most of the stuff you find is for
confirmed tweakers, not ordinary humans ;-)

Hi Michael,
To repartition without destroying the existing system, you need third party
software. WinXP's drive tools cannot do this.
Partitioning programs:
BootIT NG www.terabyteunlimited.com
Partition Magic www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic
Partition Commander http://www.v-com.com/product/pc_ind.html
Ranish Partition Manager http://www.ranish.com/part/
Programs should be reinstalled to the new location, you should not simply
drag & drop the program folders. Before you do any partition work, backup
any critical data and encryption keys, as any drive work of this nature has
some inherent dangers.
