I dont know exacly what happend. But for some reason,
when i click on log off and shut down the window that
apears is different, for example log off only give me the
choice to log off and cancel without the change user
window. i think my welcome and good bye screen has
changed too: no more picture just an old window

Go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts > Change the way
users log on and off > Check both boxes. If the boxes are grayed out, that
means you installed some program that changed the default msgina.dll see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;302346.

Hi,

Control Panel/Users/Change the Way Users Logon/Welcome Screen or...

Start/Control Panel/Users/Change the Way users log on or off/Use Welcome
Screen and Use Fast User Switching.

Enable the Welcome Screen (Line 80)

The "Welcome" Logon Screen Does Not Appear

If you are receiving Gina.dll error messages:

Restore the Windows XP Welcome Screen (Gina.dll)
