modem drivers

Just recently my computer has started behaving funny. I
have a Vaio made by Sony with Windows XP. It has a Lucent
Technologies soft modem amr. My net commections work well
during the day and early evening. It runs at 52 kbps, but
between 7:30 and 8:20 the speed drops to around ten and
that is the last of my using the net till morning. I have
jumped through hoops with MSN 8 support and they told me
to update my modem driver. Now I can't find any updates.
Can anyone help me.

Go to this link you will need to enter your Product ie Vaio desktop
computers and your model #
http://ciscdb.sel.sony.com/cgi-bin/select-software.pl this should show all
available drivers. I would also call your phone co. and see if there is any
issuses with your phone lines.
