I was curious about the amount of space reserved by the os
for system functions such as the recycle bin, temp
internet files, etc. Where can I find a list of these
things?

If you wish, you may adjust the reserved space for=20
System Restore, Recycle Bin and Temp. Internet Files:

1. Right-click MY COMPUTER and select:
Properties > System Restore > Settings

2. Right-click the Recycle Bin icon and select:
Properties=20

3. Right-click your IE desktop icon and select:
Properties > General tab > Settings
