I was having problems with my computer. Not this one a new lap top i got
last week. Still Xp.
Kept crashing. So I tried disk checks defrag and so on. Still kept coming up
error has occurred and switching off.
So I thought I would start over.
I put in the recovery disc as I have done on this one and have never had any
trouble. Clicked insall wndows xp and waited.
Normally this would just revert back to the condition I bought it and I
could start again.
After it finished I switched computer on and at the boot it said select
version? I had 2 boots?
So I selected the top one and it started. I had a look through and found I
had somehow installed windows twice and now had a new drive D with 12g of
hd?
So I messed about and found how to delete new drive (yes I know stupid but I
am new to this) Now I have one drive back (c) but 12g doing nothing it reads
spare?
What have I done? How do I get this 12g back to the main drive c? How do I
get rid of the second boot that wasnt removed when I deleted drive D?
After reading through help I think I created a partition? God knows how? How
do I get rid? and is this the stupidest thing asked on here? Please be
gentle. I know I screwed up and I need to put it right, other wise i got a
40g hd that has 12g not only doing nothing but I cant even access?
