seperate user profiles

when i am on my own profile, why is it that if i change
something that it also changes on my parents profile...
example: i deleted a shortcut of a game and i switched to
my parents profile it was also changed... what i was
wondering is how i could stop that from happening.. if
you could tell me that would be a big help.. thank you

This is because the shortcut was located in C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\ALL USERS\ and not in the user profile folder under DOCUMENTS
AND SETTINGS.
