I recently upgraded to win xp and am now using outlook
for email. With Netscape, there was an exe file called
nsnotify.exe that you could put in your taskbar that
would flag if you had email without having your email
open. Is there an equivalent program for outlook?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by open but if you mean minimized, you can set to
notify of new messages in Tools Options on the general tab

nsnotify.exe was a great little add-in ... waved a little red flag from your
notification tray when you had email ... too bad it's no longer available.
I currently use an 'oldie but goodie' called MagicMail ... still available
from http://www.geeba.org/magic/ No need to have your email program open.

Oh ... btw ... if you REALLY liked 'nsnotify', it's still available from
various sites on the internet. You might try
http://www.pedant.de/html/notify-eng.html
I tried it (on a backup copy of XP), and it works fine.
