I feel stupid asking this since I am by no means a newbie....
The setting in the desktop properties that lets me choose how many minutes I
want to go by before my screensaver kicks in as well as the checkbox next to
it for requiring a password when the machine comes out of the screen saver
are disabled (grayed out).
I am running WinXP Pro and I am an Administrator of the domain/machine.
I've looked in the local policies area and don't see anything about it.
The other strange thing is that these options were available a day or so ago
and nothing has changed on my system.
Also, interestingly enough, the grayed out setting of 10 minutes is kicking
the screen saver in after that amount of time, but the power profile I have
set up is not kicking in at all (monitor is supposed to go off after 20
minutes). But the screen saver just stays on forever!
