I would like to install Windows XP on an old system that
has Redhat on it now. I load the XP Pro CD into the
computer, but that's all that happens. What do I need to
do to get past the Linux OS?

You have to set your BIOS to boot from the CD drive.

Jesse,

As has been posted, make sure that your BIOS supports booting from CD.
Also, you may need to do some configuration to the Linux Loder (LILO)
environment.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
