yesterday i created another user for the computer. I
could switch back and forth. When i shut the computer
down last nite. I had a window that said if i shut down
user will lose unsaved data. I clicked continue. Today i
started up computer but have only the user i created but
my user name is gone. I cannot switch users because the
only one that is there is the one i created. I had alot
pics and stuff under my user id. I have tried to restore
the computer but that did not work. How do i go back to
getting my user id back. I hate this whole creating users
thing. Please help me get my computer back to normal.

Hi,
Once a user is deleted, you cannot get that user back. All you can do is
sign on as administrator, create a new user account and copy over the files
from the old one *if* they were not deleted. Check under C:\Documents and
Settings to see if there are any remnants of the deleted account. This
article may be helpful if you are denied access to them:

Hi Bob,
Log in as admin, look where I specified - do you see the files from the lost
account?
