recently i formatted my c drive , reloaded xp and added a few programs. now
at boot time i am warned that there is insufficient memory to launch 16 bit
programs and if i try to see startup programs by typing msconfig in the run
command, the system promptly reboots.
can some one tell me what is happening and how to get out of it.?tia.

Hi,

Run the first script. It will allow msconfig to be opened. From there
check your running processes in the Task Manager etc. The second script
will list your run keys and processes. The third link will check your
system for msblast, randex and sobig.
