View Full Version : Internet Washer Pro

I'm on XP, Home Edition. Out of curiosity the other day
I clicked on a popup from Internet Washer Pro, inviting
me to find out more about their product. Big mistake.
The program automatically downloaded onto my desktop, and
now I can't remove it without first installing it --
which requires a credit card number for an undisclosed
amount. Seems like this must be illegal. It's certainly
unethical.
The icon is just sitting there on my desktop, and starts
running whenever the computer is turned on. I have to
use Task Manager each time to exit it. I'm also worried
about leaving it on my desktop.
Any suggestions about how to remove this program from my
computer? Thanks to all for their help.

Before trying to edit the registry to resolve this, you might try using
System Restore. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
