Hi Bruce.....

The CD I have is from a subscription and contains both PRO and HOME in
separate folders. The CD is not like the ones you'd buy retail. So, using
your method (SFC /Scannow), the process cannot find the files.

Do you know how the "Start > Run > CMD" works, please? If you can provide
the general format for the command, I can figure out the proper pathnames.

Greetings --

Then simply browse to the appropriate \i386 folder on the CD when
prompted for the location of the files.
