How do I make the clipboard notification window go away,
that is, not pop up every single time I copy-and-paste? I
am logging into a linux machine remotely, and I do a lot of
copying-and-pasting over the course of a day. Every time I
highlight text a little window pops up on the lower right
of my screen telling me I've just copied 24 of 24 -
Clipboard, item collected. The window goes away after
about 5 seconds.

It's getting very annoying.

Microsoft help doesn't even mention clipboards, let alone
how to disable the notification window. I've looked in the
control panel and the toolbar properties to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Windows XP does not contain such a feature, do you talk about the
Office Clipboard?

The window didn't claim to be part of Office, but it turns
out that it was. I managed to make it go away by using the
clipboard option menu in MS Word.
