As I understand it, if Windows XP manages the pagefile, by default, it
creates a file size of 1.5 times the installed RAM.
1/ Under this system, can that initial file size shrink, - as some claim
that it does, and therefore, even if it has no call for it to be expanded
beyond the initial default size, will it still become de-fragmented?
2/ Does windows re-create the pagefile at each bootup, or only when it has
been deleted manually?
My thanks for any replies
