I have a couple XP machines, and my newest one (laptop from IBM) has some
additional options i havent seen before.

on the "my Network Places/Entire Network" i have "Microsoft Windows Network"
selection on all machines.

On the new machine i have two additional selections:
"Microsoft Terminal Services", and "Web Client Network"

what are these, are they dangerous (security issues) and how do i turn them
off.
on the other hand, if they are useful, how do i enable them on the other
machines.

thanks,

mark

Hi Mark,

Those options would populate with items if you were in a work environment
and there were Microsoft Terminal servers, etc. that would let you remotely
connect and log on to run specific programs or administer the computers.

In your situation they serve no purpose, so I would just try to forget
they're there
