How do I change the vertical size of start menu.
Ive installed xp pro and edited the start menu so it only shows
control panel, run, search and printers/faxes but its big and only
about half of it is used on these items the rest blank?

The only way I know of to make the initial start panel smaller is to select
"Small Icons" in "Taskbar and Start Menu properties."

Right click the taskbar and select Properties. On the Start Menu page,
click the Customize button. This setting is available for both start menu
styles - XP and Classic.
