Hello and thanks for any help. I am running a clean install of XP pro.
Running under my name (as an administrator) I don't show my desktop icons.
When I right-click on the desktop and go to "arrange icons by" I don't have
the option to show icons at all. Not there. In fact the other options (Name,
Size, Type, Modified etc) are all grayed out.

Any answers ?

Thanks again for any help.

Never mind...I went into the registry
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explor
er) and deleted a "NoActiveDesktop" entry and that solved the problem...

Thanks
