View Full Version : How to share 'My' folders

I have a laptop that I use for work. I have 2 user
profiles set up on it, 1 for when I'm at work accessing
their network and one for when I'm at home accessing my
network. Is there a way that I can share the My
Documents and My Pictures contents?

I have tried TweakUI by setting both user's My Music
folders to a new folder (such as C:\Windows\Music) and
this doesn't really have the desired effect. If I click
the My Music link on the start menu it will take me to
that folder, but if I click on the My Music folder in My
Documents it still takes me to the My Music folder that
was in there to begin with.

I've also tried putting the files I want to share into
the All Users My Music folder, thinking it would act the
same way that the All Users start menu items would work,
but that didn't work. Anybody have any suggestions?

Set the "My Documents" folder in each account to the same folder. (For this,
you don't need TweakUI - you can right-click on My Documents, go to
Properties, and change the Target folder location.)
