Computer Administrator account Setup

I have MS XP that came on my HP computer. I get error
messages [eg 0x800A138F] when I try to download MS
updates. Apparently I need to set up and Admin. Account,
and I cannot find out how to do this. Help!

You already have an Administrator Account. If you are using Home, boot up in
safe mode. If Pro, at the welcome Screen press Ctl-Alt-Del twice and the
W2K-style login box will appear. Type in Administrator in the Username. It's
highly probable that the password is blank if your XP was pre-installed.
