View Full Version : Running Win98-compatible programs on higher versions of Windows

Something I read in this newsgroup suggested me the
possibility of running programs(which are necessarily to
be run on Win98) on Win XP or Win 2000. Is there any such
possibility? Anything like compatibility mode?
I have an application which only runs on Win98(and on
WinMe). Such a possibility will make lots of things
better.

If you make a shortcut to the program on the desktop, then, when it's done,
right-click on it and select 'properties', the third tab is for
compatibility and you can select from a list.
But read about it in 'help and support' first, as has been suggested. It's
much better, if it's possible, to download a version written for XP if such
a thing exists.
