There was a powercut whilst installing a critical update
and no the updates say they've failed and will not
reinstall:

Failed 25 August 2003 Security Update for Microsoft Data
Access Components (823718) Web site
Failed 25 August 2003 August 2003, Cumulative Patch for
Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (822925) Web site
Failed 25 August 2003 Security Update for Microsoft Data
Access Components (823718) Web site
Failed 25 August 2003 August 2003, Cumulative Patch for
Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (822925) Web site

When I restart I also get an error: Rundll, NVQTWT won't
start, can't find module (or something).

I find it quite annoying that windows does these things
and then says I have to contact the place I bought the
comuter (which of course won't know how to deal with this
since it has nothing to do with them) because it's an OEM
copy of XP.

I'd appreciate help with this asap. Please reply to email
address as I have no idea how I got here or how I'll ever
find this newsgroup or messageboard again!
