quick launch

everytime I point at an icon on the quick launch an
annoying explanation comes up obscuring it. how do i get
rid of it?
Running XP home

right click the icon -> properties
in properties window you can delete the "comment" text.
this will shorten the tooltip.

--Folder Options
---View tab
scroll to the bottom and UNcheck:
Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items
Apply
