I am repeatedly getting a message from Norton Windoctor:

C\Windows\System32\MAPISRVR.exe cannot access a necessary
file, gapi32.dll

I'm not clear what I should do. Can anyone help me.

Thanks so much

Ron

I get that too. This is a known issue with Windoctor. I ignore it because it
does not interfere with my system operation. There is an article in MS's KB
and at the Symantec site on how to correct this if you choose to.

It is only an issue because the install program for Office 2000 does not put
the file where it says it does. In the registry the file is entered as being
installed to C:\Windows\System32, while in fact, the file is placed
elsewhere. Find the file (search) and copy it to the correct folder. Your
problem will be solved.
