I collected NFO files from a number of Win98 systems on
my network. Now I want to view them on my WinXP system.

When I try to open one of the NFO files it tells me "One
or more files required to open this version of an NFO
file are either missing or corrupt. Please install the
Windows 2000 Resource Kit."

Do I really want to do that? Load a Win2000 Resrouce Kit
on an XP Pro box?

And where do I get the Win2000 Resource Kit? I don't have
a Win2000 system.

DAMN NFO Viewer if freeware and works fine. Once installed when you open an
NFO it's contents will be displayed
http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?ID=1592

Or you can associate the files to open with Notepad. Right click any NFO and
select Open with... choose Notepad and then check the box to Always use the
program.
