Hi,

After recently purchasing a machine w/ XP home edition pre-
installed, I checked for updates and found 42Mbytes
worth! Gee, is there some way I can get all this stuff on
a CD for some small fee?

Service Pack 1 (SP1) can be obtained on a CD from Microsoft
However I don't think that is what you require (most likely allready
installed by OEM).

Anything released after SP1, as far as I know, leaves you haveing to
download each file seperately but will probably be released as SP2
eventully.

So to conclude, as by my understanding ,you've to download 42MB, (unless
someone else can say otherwise).

David,

I know of no way to do this. I just rebuilt a computer here at my desk
from Service Pack 1 integrated media and found that I had close to 80 meg
of additional fixes, updates and drivers to install. I believe SP1 can be
purchased/ordered as separate media; however the individual fixes don't
have this availability.

Best regards,
