I have installed a program called editreg. It is suppose to open any program
that will modify the registry into notepad before making any changes. Then,
if deemed ok, one should right click the given program and chose the option
"merge" to enter it into the registry. The only problem is that the option
merge does not appear! so now I am stuck. Every time I try to install a
program to the registry it opens it in notepad instead, with no option to
actually install it! I don't know if this is an issue of compatibility with
windows xp, which I am using?
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Thanks,
jb

Merge attach file. Type regedit in Start Run and then File - Import. =
This is standard settings but edit is the default command.

Apart from uninstalling the programme, the best option might be to check
their website for program
updates/patches/support.
