Customizing start window

I have followed the instructions under Support Help to
customize the screen after clicking on Start.I right
click on Start, go to Properties and follow exactly the
instructions but no changes take place. Help please.

Al;
Did you click Apply before you got out of Customize Start Menu? If you
don't apply it won't Save.
