SpyBot Search and Destroy is an excellent free tool. While
it cleans out spyware\adware it also has an inoculation
feature that blocks XXX sites and it also has a home page
highjack blocker and many other valuable features. The
program can be a little overwhelming to the new user but

Not sure if this was in reply to my query also, but I'd just like to say
thanks for the offer. There were a few things that I didn't let it 'fix'
because I think they are used by other programs and I didn't want to mess
those up. I'm not absolutely certain though. Would I be able to send the
information that I get so that you can explain it a bit better to me?
