Using multiple partitions in XP

I have clean-installed WinXP, and in the process I
created a separate D partition in addition to the C
partition on which the OS resides. I now want to use the
bigger D partition for user files and documents. Can
anyone tell me how to allocate the D partition to be used
for the Documents and Settings Folder which contains all
the user data etc.

IF you haven't loaded too much onto your hard drive and willing to reformat
it you can try this
This is a copy from a previous posting

it works under Win2K and XP I think the articles are for W2k or Win2003
server
but works the same in XP Pro

You can use an unattended install to do this.

You need to use Setupmgr.exe (located in the PRO\SUPPORT\TOOLS\DEPLOY.CAB
file on the XP CD) to create an unattended install file. Then add the
following line to the [GuiUNattended] section of the unattend.txt or
winnt.sif file created by SetupMgr.exe

ProfilesDir = z:\foldername (I think don't know for sure that
z:\foldername would be D:\
Documents and settings)

[GuiUNattended]
ProfilesDir = z:\foldername
