Windows XP Home Edition (with Service Pack 1 integrated) should be the
latest "version" in the retail channel.

Hi Mike. Is there any indication on the packaging to whether or not SP1 is
integrated? I've read that there is nothing to give you any idea whether
SP1 is integrated but perhaps there is a date on the box or some such that
would give a person an idea.
Thanks.

Hey Harry,
As far as I am aware the only marking about SP1 is on the face of the CD
ROM.
This was a conscious decision to not confuse the general retail public by
having a box with a big splash on it that said "Now with added SP1" in case
they thought they had to buy it after only one year of owning the original
Windows XP.
